Day 1

Day 1: Rebels, Redcoats & Restless Spirits: Freedom Trail, Tea Party Ships and Museum, and Ghost Tour

Morning:

Welcome to Boston!  You’ll meet your expert A-Z Travels tour guide upon your arrival at Boston Common and will set the stage for an unforgettable journey along the Freedom Trail. As you follow this iconic route, you’ll delve into the rich tapestry of Boston’s history, encountering a series of landmark sites that shaped the nation’s past.  Your adventure begins with a visit to the Massachusetts State House, where you’ll marvel at its golden dome and learn about its pivotal role in American history. Next, you’ll step into Park Street Church, a historic site known for its significant role in the early abolitionist movement.  As the tour continues, you’ll stroll through the Granary Burial Ground, resting place of notable figures such as Paul Revere and Samuel Adams. Further along, you’ll encounter the Benjamin Franklin Statue, a tribute to one of America’s most illustrious Founding Fathers. Finally, your journey will take you to the Old South Meeting House, a key site in the lead-up to the American Revolution.  Next, visit the somber location of the Boston Massacre, where a tragic confrontation between British soldiers and American colonists marked a turning point in the path to independence.  Next, walk over to Paul Revere’s House, the oldest building in downtown Boston, where you’ll delve into the life of this iconic patriot.  Continue your journey to the historic Old North Church, renowned for its role in the American Revolution. Here, you’ll hear the famous story of the “one if by land, and two if by sea” signal, which alerted the colonial militia to the British advance.

Each stop along the Freedom Trail offers a unique glimpse into Boston’s storied past, making this tour a captivating exploration of the events and people that shaped the nation.

Afternoon:

After lunch, visit the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum which will include a fascinating tour. Here, you’ll step back in time and experience interactive exhibits and engaging reenactments that bring the historic protest to life. You’ll see authentically restored ships that played a central role in the event and learn about the brave colonists who defied British rule by dumping tea into Boston Harbor.  You’ll gain an understanding of the significance of the Boston Tea Party and its impact on American history.

Evening:

For your first evening in Boston, you’ll gather for a delightful welcome dinner.

After dinner, prepare for a spine-chilling adventure as you meet your ghostly guides for a spooktacular tour through Boston’s most haunted locations. Dressed in period costumes, your guides will lead you through dimly lit streets and eerie alleys, sharing chilling tales of the city’s haunted histories.

Day 2

Day 2: Waves, Wonders & Views: Whale Watching, Boston Museum of Science, and Prudential Skywalk

Morning:

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and embark on an unforgettable whale watching adventure departing from Boston Harbor! Cruise through the scenic waters of the Stellwagen Bank Marine Sanctuary, one of the world’s top whale feeding grounds. Onboard naturalists from the New England Aquarium provide expert commentary as you spot majestic marine life like humpback, finback, and minke whales—often seen breaching or tail-slapping. Tours typically last 3-4 hours aboard high-speed catamarans, offering both indoor seating and open decks for prime viewing and photos.

Afternoon:

After lunch at a local restaurant, the group will visit the Boston Museum of Science – an exciting, hands-on experience perfect for all ages. The museum features over 600 interactive exhibits across three main wings. In the Blue Wing, visitors can explore physics in action, including a dramatic lightning show in the Theater of Electricity. The Green Wing houses the Hall of Human Life and a Live Animal Care Center with more than 120 species. Climb aboard one of these iconic amphibious vehicles and enjoy a narrated tour of Boston’s historic landmarks, vibrant neighborhoods, and picturesque waterfront. Evening:

Enjoy dinner and dancing aboard a Boston Signature Dinner Cruise!  Enjoy freshly prepared entrees, DJ entertainment, and the best views of the Boston skyline and waterfront landmarks, including Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge, Boston’s Seaport District, and the USS Constitution warship. At the end of the cruise, make your way back to the hotel.

Day 4

Day 4: From Fenway Fandom to Market Mingle: Fenway Tour and Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market

Morning:

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.  Your group checks out and departs for a tour of Fenway Park, Boston’s historic baseball shrine, and immerse yourself in the rich traditions and storied legacy of America’s oldest Major League Baseball stadium. As you step into this iconic venue, you’ll be transported through a tapestry of baseball history that spans over a century.  Your tour will begin with an exploration of the famed Green Monster, the towering left-field wall that has become synonymous with Fenway’s charm. From the top of this legendary structure, you’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the ballpark and the city beyond.  Next, you’ll visit the press box, where you’ll gain insight into the behind-the-scenes workings of live sports broadcasting. Wander through the players’ dugout and the luxury suites, where you can imagine the excitement of being part of the action.  Finish the tour with a look at the historic Hall of Fame Alley.

Afternoon:

Make your way to Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market which are historic landmarks in downtown Boston that offer a lively mix of history, food, shopping, and entertainment. Faneuil Hall, known as the “Cradle of Liberty,” features historic exhibits and talks, while Quincy Market is a bustling food hall with a wide variety of local and international eats. Together with nearby shops and street performers, the area provides a fun, walkable experience perfect for sightseeing and sampling Boston’s local culture.  Enjoy lunch before you begin your safe journey home.
