Day 1

Morning – Upon arrival in San Francisco, meet your tour guide, set your watches back and prepare to enjoy those “extra” hours at Fisherman’s Wharf, San Francisco’s most popular attraction.  Choose from among the many and varied restaurants to enjoy your first lunch in this West Coast mecca.

Afternoon – At Pier 33, you’ll board the ferry for your trip to Alcatraz Island. “The Rock” was a federal maximum-security prison from 1934 to 1963. Your walking audio tour of one of the most famous prisons in America begins.

Evening – Your welcome dinner is served. Afterwards enjoy free time at Ghirardelli Square.  Once the headquarters for the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, the Square now accommodates shops, restaurants, an arcade, a carousel, and much more!   Your hotel is waiting as you make your way there for check in.

Day 2

Morning – After breakfast you’ll  begin your guided city tour, as well as seeing some very famous streets, such as Nobb Hill, Huntington Park, plus Lombard and Filbert Streets. Your next stop is Googleplex where you will walk the grounds and immerse yourself in the philosophy of Google.

Afternoon – Enjoy lunch then off you go to Candlestick Park for a guided tour. Your evening wraps up with a visit to the corner of Haight Street and Ashbury Streets. Don’t miss the chance to get a picture of you and your friends on the corner of Haight and Ashbury.

 Evening – Make your way to Chinatown for a walking tour, and visit to the Fortune Cookie Factory. Continue on for an authentic Chinese dinner.  Afterwards you’ll enjoy the views of the skyline and the San Francisco Bay.

Day 3

Morning – After breakfast, you will depart for the Golden Gate Bridge Pavilion Center. You will enjoy a 45-minute tour and stories about the building of the bridge.  Next stop will be the Bridge Photo Experience. With the use of green screen photography you appear to be climbing the main cable or standing of the bridge!  Continue along to the cable car museum, then take a ride of your own with your tour guide.

Afternoon – Admission to the California Academy of Sciences! Recognized worldwide for its innovative design and spectacular array of amazing exhibits, it combines a first-class natural history museum with an aquarium, planetarium and a 4-story rain forest!

Evening – Group enjoys free time shopping before dinner.

Day 4

Morning – You’ll get an early start with a nourishing breakfast before departing for Santa Cruz. Your first stop on the way is the gravitational anomaly in a redwood forest known as the Mystery Spot. Be prepared to have your perception of the laws of physics and gravity challenged!  Afterward, you’ll settle your brains on a hiking trail to a beautiful view through the eucalyptus tree

Afternoon – Enjoy lunch and a day on the beach!

Evening – The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is known by some as the “World’s Best Seaside Amusement Park.”  Enjoy the rides. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant as you watch the spectacular sunset.

Day 5

Morning – You will have a final breakfast at the hotel then check out.  Depart for Muir Woods National Monument, named for the philosopher and scientist John Muir. Enjoy a peaceful reflective self-guided walking tour amongst the ancient redwoods and scenic trails.

Afternoon – Group has a farewell lunch before you begin your journey home.
