Day 1: Arrival, Welcome Dinner
Morning: Departure and flight to Seoul.
Afternoon: Welcome to Seoul! Upon arrival, meet your A-Z Travels tour guide and transfer to the hotel. Check in and freshen up. Your hotel will be your home base for the remainder of your adventure.
Evening: Enjoy an exquisite welcome dinner with your group! Dine and delight in the vibrant flavors of Seoul. Savor authentic Korean cuisine at a local restaurant, from savory bulgogi and crispy Korean fried chicken to rich and spicy kimchi stew. This is your delicious introduction to the heart and soul of Korea’s culinary scene! After dinner, head back to the hotel for a well earned rest.
Day 2: Jogyesa Buddhist Temple, Gyeongbok Palace, Cheongwadae Sarangchae, Changdeok Palace, Insadong and Namdaemun Markets
Morning: After breakfast, get ready to discover Seoul’s most known sites and attractions, where you’ll learn the history and listen to engaging stories from your tour guide. First, stop at the Jogyesa Buddhist Temple, the center of Zen Buddhism. Enjoy the tranquility and peace of the temple. Then, continue to Gyeongbok Palace and see the Changing of the Guard ceremony. After, explore the palace and learn its history and secret stories. Pass by the Presidential Blue House and head to Cheongwadae Sarangchae, where you can continue learning about the enchanting history of Seoul.
Afternoon: After lunch, head to Changdeok Palace and explore another stunning palace steeped in Korean heritage. Stop at the most known markets of Seoul – Insadong and Namdaemun. In Insadong you can find exotic antiques and visit art galleries, shops, and second-hand bookstores. Namdaemun is a traditional market, where you can browse for souvenirs and goods for bargains.
You’ll also have the option to admire a “Nanta” performance, which is a hybrid artwork–a traditional folk performance named “Samulnori” combined with Western forms of performances.
Evening: Choose from one of the many local eateries to enjoy your dinner for the night, then head back to the hotel to rest before another adventure in the morning!
Day 3: Jeju island, Hyupjae and Gumneung Beaches, Hallim Park, Osulloc Green Tea Museum, Cruise, and Cheonjeyeon Waterfall
Morning: Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel. Today you will explore the west side of the famous Jeju island and see marvelous natural sites, stunning beaches, mountains and volcanic features.
Start your day by strolling along white sandy beaches of Hyupjae and Gumneung and feel the emerald green clear water wash over your feet. Then, relax in Hallim Park and take in the beautiful views of bonsai, palm trees, and diverse exotic plants.
Afternoon: You will stop at the Osulloc Green Tea Museum and learn about the traditional tea culture, try green tea snacks and take breathtaking photos of the vast green fields. You will have a buffet lunch and, afterwards, take a cruise to see the scenic views of Jeju’s mountains and islands from the water. Your last stop will be the magnificent Cheonjeyeon Waterfall. According to a legend, the name means “the pond of God” and it is where nymphs come down to take a bath.
Evening: Have a traditional meal at a local restaurant before heading back to your hotel for the night.
Day 4: Jeonju- Hanok village
Morning: Begin your day with a lovely breakfast at your hotel. Today you will travel to Jeonju and spend your day exploring the traditional Hanok village which has 800 hanoks (traditional wooden homes). You will meet local people, savor traditional foods and experience a cooking class or craft workshop.
Start the 3.5-hour drive and learn about the village you’ll be visiting along the way. Known for their deep connection to Korean tradition, you’ll hear about the rich history, vibrant culture, and fascinating people of the village you’re about to visit.
Afternoon: You will have the opportunity to savor many appetizing Korean delicacies at the many food stands and street vendors. Immerse yourself in the quaint and delightful atmosphere of the village. You will have the option to take part in workshops where you will learn how to make a traditional rice cake dessert, create Korean delicacies, or construct your own Hanji fan.
Evening: The perfect end to your day awaits with a delicious and well-deserved dinner at a fantastic local restaurant. We’ll find a place to satisfy your cravings and celebrate your day of exploration with amazing food. Then, head back to your hotel to rest and recharge.
Day 5: Seoraksan National Park, Baekdam Valley, Buddhist temple of Baekdamsa, Naksansa Temple,
Morning: After breakfast at your hotel, you will get back to nature in the scenic Seoraksan National Park, visit Buddhist temples and go for a hike on the third highest mountain in Korea.
Head towards the Taebaek mountain range in Seoraksan National Park. Visit Baekdam Valley and the Buddhist temple of Baekdamsa. Marvel at the stunning views from the mountain top.
Afternoon: After lunch, travel back in time while visiting the ancient Naksansa Temple built by the ambassador to the 30th king of the Silla period. This astounding complex accommodates several cultural icons, such as Seven Story Stone Tower and the Uisangdae Pavilion. Admire the tiled walls and black bamboo trees.
Evening: Upon arrival back in Seoul, meet for a group dinner at your preferred restaurant and then return to your hotel to rest up for your last full day in Korea!
Day 6: Nami Island, Garden of Morning Calm, and Farewell Dinner
Morning and afternoon: After a delicious breakfast, get ready for an unforgettable experience! Today you will visit Nami Island and the Garden of Morning Calm.
“Nami Island is a half-moon-shaped isle, and on it is the grave of General Nami, who led a great victory against the rebels in the 13th year of the 7th king of the Joseon Dynasty – King Sejo, who reigned from 1455 to 1468. Nami Island also declared its cultural independence and was reborn as the Naminara Republic. It has its own national flag, anthem, currency, passport, phone cards, stamps, orthography, and even a certification of citizenship.“
Afternoon: After a lovely lunch, you will visit The Garden of Morning Calm which is one of Korea’s largest botanical gardens and promotes the beauty of Korean plants and flowers to the rest of the world. Explore the intricately sculpted trees, garden flowers and pathways of this mesmerizing garden heaven.
Evening: After arriving back at your hotel, meet for a farewell dinner with your group. Return to the hotel to pack up and rest before your trip back home.
Day 7: Departure Day
Morning: After breakfast, make sure your group has all their belongings together and check out from the hotel. Then depart for the Airport! Begin your safe journey home.
