Day 1: Gastown to China Town: A Walk, Tech, and Taste of Adventure
Morning :
Group will arrive late morning and meet you’re A-Z Travels tour guide and begin your walking tour of the charming Gastown district of Vancouver. Your first stop is the Steam Clock that operates by using steam to power a small engine and chimes every quarter hour and at midday, offering a charming display worth capturing on video. Continue to Gaoler’s Mews, Vancouver’s first jail. Stories abound of the hauntings and otherworldly activities at the Mews…Boo! Continue on to Maple Tree Square, a historic gem in Vancouver, famous for being one of the city’s most photographed spots. As you continue, you’ll pass under Millenium Gate designed as commemoration to the new millennium, connecting Gastown to China Town
Afternoon:
Enjoy a welcome lunch in Gastown. After, have some free time to walk through Gastown, popping into some stores to do a little souvenir shopping.
Afterwards make your way to the TELUS World of Science. Explore the various galleries. Continue on to the OMNIMAX Theatre for an immersive film on the largest OMNIMAX dome screen in the world!
Evening:
Delight in a cultural exploration and dinner at one of the largest China Towns in North America. Enjoy time to explore and treat yourself to a souvenir. Make your way back to the hotel, check-in, and settle in for a much-needed rest.
Day 2: From Flames to Heights and Haunts: A Vancouver Adventure!
Morning:
Breakfast will be at the hotel before departing for a visit to the Olympic Cauldron, a highlight of the 2010 Winter Games and remains a significant landmark. Standing 32.8 feet tall against a stunning mountain and harbor backdrop and showcases an exhibit featuring Olympic medals and torches, interpretive panels and a medal podium, offering Olympic-sized photo opportunities.
Afternoon:
After lunch, arrive at Vancouver Lookout, perched atop Harbour Centre. Reach the 360º observation deck in just 40 seconds via a glass elevator. On the deck, explore Vancouver’s vibrant cityscape and learn about its history and infrastructure through informative panels. Enjoy a complimentary self-guided audio tour and stay connected with free WiFi. The Lookout offers a unique vantage point to take in the dynamic views of downtown Vancouver and its surrounding neighborhoods.
Evening:
The group will enjoy a leisurely walk touring Vancouver’s Gastown. After dinner, get ready for a spook-tacular experience on one of Vancouver’s ghost tours unveiling some of the district’s most haunted locations. Explore alleyways and hidden passageways; go past Vancouver landmarks and architectural highlights. Learn about some of Vancouver’s most famous ghosts. Upon its conclusion, return to your hotel for a much-deserved rest.
Day 3: Thrills, Heights, and Stars: Exploring Vancouver’s Wonders!
Morning:
You’ll enjoy breakfast at the hotel, checkout and then depart for the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Thrill-seekers will cross the 137-metre (450-foot) bridge suspended high above the beautiful Capilano River. The newest eco-friendly attraction, Cliffwalk, offers sweeping views—and one heck of an adrenaline rush—from the suspended stairs, bridges, walkways and glass-bottomed decks. You’ll put your feet back on the ground and depart for the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre.
Afternoon:
After lunch, tour the Space Centre, where future astronauts and budding scientists explore the mysteries of the cosmos at this long-standing attraction.
The group will depart for Lonsdale Quay Market, a unique location that boasts 80 fresh food vendors, unique retail shops, artisans and restaurants. Enjoy lunch on your own before you begin your safe journey home.
