San Francisco is the 13th biggest city in the United States and is famous for its diverse mix of architecture, changing microclimates of different neighborhoods, rolling hills (48 in total) and various prominent landmarks from which the most famous is Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary and don’t forget a walk through China district. This town will surprise and dazzle you! Yosemite National Park in Mariposa County is one of the most staggering of America’s National Parks and a Unesco World Heritage site. Majestic in all four seasons and spanning 1,200 square miles in the Sierra Mountains, Yosemite is known for the giant sequoia trees, scenic wonderland and sizzling waterfalls.

Day 1

Morning: Departure to San Francisco.

Afternoon: Welcome to San Francisco, also known as “San Fran” or City By the Bay.  You will be greeted by your local tour guide and transfer to the hotel.  After you check-in and freshen up your walking tour begins.  A walking tour is the best way to familiarize yourself with the city.  Have fun at the Ghirardelli Square, visit Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Wharf. Discover San Francisco’s regional treats such as  Dungeness Crab.  Lunch will be enjoyed at one of the many local restaurants.

Evening: Enjoy your welcome dinner and fuel up for a walk on Lombard Street!  with the group at a local restaurant and head to your hotel for rest!  Take a stroll around the city. Visit Russian or Nob Hills where cable cars provide access. Try Telegraph Hills and the stairway walks if not too tired or hike around Lands End.

Day 2

Morning: After a nourishing breakfast, you will embark on a 2-day exhilarating and adventurous tour to the majestic Yosemite National Park! You will escape for 2 full days exploring the breathtaking natural wilderness of Yosemite, enjoy hiking, sightseeing, and taking unforgettable and memorable photos.

Afternoon: The first day will be dedicated to Yosemite Valley. You will visit and take in the beauty of the tallest waterfall in North America – the astonishing Yosemite Falls and visit the El Capitan Half Dome, Inspiration Point, and Bridalveil Falls.

Evening: You will be staying overnight, under the stars, in the park, at the Yosemite Lodge.  Dinner will be enjoyed before you tuck in for the night and anticipate another great day in the morning!

Day 3

Morning and Afternoon: Enjoy an astounding view and tasty breakfast at your lodge while preparing for another day of wilderness, awe-inspiring sights and nature’s wonders of the park.

Today you will take a trip to the stunning Glacier Point and take in the splendid mountainous vistas while taking stunning photographs.

Afterward, take a once in a lifetime walk among the Giant Sequoias and enjoy the natural beauty of the park.

Evening: Arrive back in San Francisco and enjoy a delicious dinner in a local restaurant. Have a good night’s sleep before the next day’s adventure!

Day 4

Morning: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel then make your way to the pier. At Pier 33, you’ll board the ferry for your trip to Alcatraz Island. “The Rock” was a federal maximum-security prison from 1934 to 1963. Your walking audio tour of one of the most famous prisons in America begins.

Afternoon: Upon arrival back at the pier, enjoy a delicious lunch. Be sure to, try salted-caramel ice cream.  The next stop on our journey is  Twin Peaks, the highest point in San Francisco with a view Take in the lovely neighborhoods showing off dainty Victorian homes.

Evening:  The excitement continues and takes you to Chinatown for a walking tour, shopping, sightseeing, and of course eating!  Say farewell to the city as you enjoy an authentic Chinese dinner.

Morning: Enjoy breakfast and check out before you begin your journey home.
